Focus Question: How do new technologies create new opportunities for teaching and learning?
Technology lets you change teaching and learning in enriching and productive way: by differentiating instruction to offer students many learning experiences, by motivating disengaged individuals, by creating group and cooperative learning situations, by allowing access to academic information from multiple sources, and by letting students visit places to see what cannot be seen without electronic systems.

When I first went on this website, I was expecting to meet with one of the common online shopping stores that sell the newest variety of computers and other electronics. But it goes further than this. More than just finding the laptop you need for studying, either for a student or a teachers, it also provides you with different resources to make your learning more proficient and flexible. It could be somewhat confusing when you first enter it since it gives you so many options on how to increase your success, but I definietly recommended for any student who is craving success!
Summary and Connection:
After reading Chapter 1, I realized how influential is technology in today's generation, especially in the field of learning. On the other hand, it also tought me about the different issues teachers may have when using these technology resources and having technology please all their motivations. Even though it cannot please all their motivations, it definitely has taken learning to a new dimension, causing an effect in the student's life.
